The brigade’s combat path

Our commander
Commander of the 23rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – Colonel Oleksandr Serhiyovych Slipko.
Born in 1989 in Kremenchuk, Poltava region. After graduating from college in 2008, he began his military service. In 2011, he graduated from the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy with a degree in “Management of Mechanized Troop Units Operations”.
Since 2014, he has fought in Luhansk and Donetsk regions as part of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade.
On February 24, 2022, as commander of the 1st battalion of the 93rd Brigade, he engaged in battle with Russian forces near Okhtyrka. Later, his unit fought in the Kharkiv region and defended Bakhmut.
In 2025, Oleksandr Slipko was appointed commander of the 23rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
