At the same time, the main forces of the 23rd Brigade were conducting active combat operations in the area of Chasiv Yar and Toretsk in the Donetsk region.
Since early November 2024, the brigade has been defending the country in the Kurakhove direction, resisting superior enemy forces and, through incredible efforts, slowing their further advance.
The Unmanned Systems Battalion of the 23rd Separate Mechanized Brigade — eyes in the sky that give the enemy no chance. High-precision drones such as “Vampyr”, “Nemesis”, “Bat” and other modern unmanned systems have become indispensable tools for reconnaissance, fire correction, and conducting strike operations. No combat mission is currently planned without such systems.
These technologies allow our army to operate with maximum efficiency, providing a strategic advantage and minimizing risks to personnel.
Thanks to high maneuverability and the ability to operate in difficult conditions, the Unmanned Systems Battalion has become one of the most important elements of the combat potential of the 23rd Separate Mechanized Brigade.

Thanks to modern digital systems, mobile stations, and field switching centers, the signalers deploy a reliable network even in the hottest spots.
They monitor the airwaves around the clock, maintain communication, and respond instantly to any threats from the enemy.
Operating in challenging conditions, they set up mobile communication nodes and maintain satellite, radio, and digital systems to ensure clear and coordinated actions on the battlefield.

One of the main tools of the sappers of the 2nd Battalion of the 23rd Separate Mechanized Brigade is the TM-62 anti-tank mine.
This powerful weapon can stop even the most modern enemy tanks and armored personnel carriers by damaging their tracks or wheels.
The sapper’s work is not just a profession, but a true art.
Each mine is placed taking into account the terrain, the enemy’s direction of movement, and many other factors. These heroes work daily under enemy fire, often at night or in conditions of minimal visibility.
